Crock Pot Chicken Taco Chili

2 Girls and a Pin tested a Crock Pot Taco Chicken Chili

You can see the original pin and recipe for this yummy goodness in on our Pinterest boards as well.

I’m fessin’ up! I really, really wanted to make a nice little ditty in my slow cooker this weekend, simply because I really wasn’t in the mood to hang out in the kitchen much that day…and before you call the ambulance, the only reason I wouldn’t want to hang out in the kitchen is because I spent most of my Saturday cleaning it! SO, knowing how I am and what a big giant mess I like to make when I cook I decided to opt for one of the dump everything in, turn the slow cooker on, and have dinner ready a couple of hours later deals in hopes of having a clean kitchen for more than a couple of hours. :P

Hence, this glorious feast we’ll talk about today!

Irish Beef and Stout Stew

2 Girls and a Pin tested an Irish Beef and Stout Stew

The recipe for this glorious piece of stew came from Martha and the original pin we found it from.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We found this delicious gem a little while ago and decided to make it our official St. Patrick’s Day meal. There is definitely gold at the end of this rainbow, if you can fend off the leprechaun, cause this stuff was absolutely fantastic!

Let’s begin.

Cheeseburger Soup

You can find the recipe for this deliciousness here.

I don’t know if it was because I’ve been dealing with this flu or what, but when I saw this on Pinterest it instantly spoke to me! Problem was, I didn’t have any ground beef and I most definitely didn’t feel like going to the store. So, my trusted friend ground turkey came to the rescue! As you can see from the green badge this recipe got, it is absolutely delicious as prepared with turkey. I can only imagine it will be equally if not more delicious with beef!

Not familiar with our badge pin rating system? You can read more about it here, where we go into detail on how we come to our decision on rating pins we test and review.

Wendy’s Chili

2 Girls and a Pin tested Wendy's Chili

Originally pinned from Mama Loves Food.

I’m sure most of you go through stages where a certain take-out food is something you crave and would totally be fine eating for lunch at work every day, right? Well, I’ve been going through several of those lately. The one that ended most recently were Subway subs. Seriously, I could eat the turkey/ham sub with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and black olives ALL DAY EVERY DAY! And I almost did! However, the Subway days are over, and the new fast food kid on the block is Wendy’s! Wendy’s has always been my favorite of the fast food burger joints, and lately I’ve seriously enjoyed that I can add a bowl of their yummy chili as a substitute to their equally delicious fries. So, the new weapon of fast food work lunch choice is the spicy chicken sandwich and a small bowl of chili with 2 packets of hot sauce.

You can only imagine my joy when I came across the Wendy’s chili recipe on Pinterest! So, here we are, giving it a test!

Corn Chowder With Ham

2 Girls and a Pin tested a Corn Chowder with Ham

The Original Pin from The Crockin’ Girls.

This pin was a complete accident! We had a Twitter request for us to test a different corn chowder recipe, but this recipe somehow ended up ahead of the Twitter one in our Pinterest queue. Much like how real life accidents happen, this swimmer SOMEHOW made it to the top and is now one of the babies we tested :D However, since we vowed to always give pins a chance, this little accident is getting some love from us.

By the way, this is actually a legit thing we do! If you have a pin sitting in one of your boards on Pinterest and want to test it but are not quite sure about it and want a second opinion, send it our way in form of a tweet. Tweet @2girlsandapin, send us the pin URL, and use hash tag #PinTest. We’ll make sure your pin ends up in our Food 2 Test Queue board on Pinterest.
