With this particular pin I really wanted to see the original post. It is just so beautiful. After a few hours of digging around, I finally tracked down the original blogger. She has a sweet collection of nail posts. Be sure to check it out.
Anyhow, this is a beautiful combination for the spring. Corals and gold are in this season. And who am I to deny fashion’s demands?
So here’s how I got the look.
Have I told you, guys that I just recently discovered a new line of nail polish that I absolutely adore? No! Well, I do. It is the Forever 21 brand. For just right under $3 you get an awesome color and a long lasting polish. Who new?! The brush, however, is not all that exciting. But if you are a nail amateur/enthusiast with limited funds like I am, you may want to consider this brand. They have variety of different colors. I used Coral Nail Polish for this design.

Step 1: Apply two thin coats of your base coral. Make sure you let the polish dry in between. Let the final coat dry for at least 30 minutes.
I used the same rubber band technique that I test in the “French manicure with the help of the rubber band” post.

Step 3: Apply a very thin coat onto the tip in a parallel motion to the band. Wait about 30 seconds and apply a second one.

Step 4: After about 10 seconds take off the band by moving it up and away from the nail. Don’t slide it.
As you can see, my gold is a bit more of a rose gold. The same applies to actual gold that I wear. You probably have noticed that from my wedding band shots. This particular nail polish is The Old Bill by Butter London. I love love love the color. I also love the same polish in red. It is probably the most beautiful red I have ever tried. The problem with this particular brand is that because it tends to be on a more “natural” side, the polish doesn’t stay on for longer than 2-3 days. But if you want to shine on a special occasion, I definitely recommend it. I always get compliments on the colors.

Be careful after you take off the band by not putting it right back on another nail. It will dry up fast but not fast enough to use the same spot every time.

Step 5: Continue with the rest of the nails. Here is how I do the pinky so that I don’t mess up other nails.

Step 6: Let the nails dry for about 15 minutes before applying final coat. You don’t want the line to get smudged

This is a very easy and beautiful nail design. You can easily do it while catching up on your Hulu queue or a movie on Netflix. My favorite thing to do is search around pinterest while watching an episode or two of Bones.
